Welcome to cmcracing.co.uk...

In 2009 two friends with an unhealthy addiction to motorcycling decided that the only way the ‘who’s faster than who?’ debate could only be settled by actually racing one another. Two CBR400 NC29’s were purchased and we (Chris & James) joined the British Motorcycle Racing Club (BMCRC) and entered the highly competitive EDIasia Formula 400 class. cmcracing was born!

An eventful season followed but 8 rounds and 5 crashes later Chris emerged victorious, not only beating his Teammate but also finishing the season as top rookie and 11th overall in the final Championship standings. In 2010 the bar has been raised. With our rookie season complete there are no excuses, we have now upgraded to more powerful Kawasaki ZXR400’s and will be not only racing one another but also aiming for podium finishes!

In the 2010 season cmcracing was joined by fellow 2009 Rookies Steve ‘Hoggy’ Hogben and Josh Harley. Steve managed only one lap of Snetterton before crashing, then attempted to re-ignite his season at Brands GP before crashing again! Josh who won the acclaimed ‘Pink Rookie Cup’ in 2009 continued to remain consistant, and managed to crash during the last race as he did in 2009 also!

James continued to improve finishing in the top 10 regulary, and managed completed the 2010 season in 9th position overall with only a handful of crashes along the way (nothing serious this time!)

Chris slowly gained confidence on the new ZXR loaned to him by Kev Neal and by mid-season started fighting for podiums, eventually getting his first podium at Brands GP. Further podiums followed at Snetterton and Brands Indy and only an alleged jump start prevented him from achieving his first race win! After crashing out in the penultimate race at Brands Chris needed a good result in the final race and went from the back of the grid to finish 2nd!

After an eventful season Chris managed to end the season on the podium in 3rd overall behind 2010 Champion Steve Palmer & Steve Murphy in second.

Chris has retired for 2011, bu thas hopes of returning to the track in 2012 for more adventures! - In the meantime, he'll be spannering for his TeamMate James. Good luck!
