The Team The team consists of just 6 key people, all hoping for success on the track - but mostly just hoping to enjoy the ride.

Chris Camps #32 FULL CHAMPIONSHIP ROOKIE CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER 2009 BORN : March 31, 1976 Racer. Played around with racing Karts and motorcross bikes before taking to the road on a CBR600 in 1998. Since then he's toured a bit of Europe, been round the famous Nurberg Ring and TT Course a few times and then became a bit of a track day addict before finally giving the Idea of racing 'a go' in 2009 ending the season as top rookie. Graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in industrial design then completed a Masters in 2000 at Salford University. Chris worked as a retail designer before setting up on his own company, designcmc Ltd, in 2006. Apart from enabling him to do some fancy graphics on the bike, these qualifications will not help him in the world of motorcycle racing one bit. |

James Runham #28 FULL CHAMPIONSHIP BORN : March 29, 1976 Racer. James and Chris went to school together and the competitiveness between them was apparent from day one! In 2009 Chris and James raced each other on CBR400 NC29's. Both riders progressed well in the early stages of the season and despite having a nasty crash at the Brands Centenary meeting James was back on his bike for the following round at Cadwell a month after being knocked unconcious. Dispite not completing a full season James finished fourth in the rookie championship missing out on a podium place to Steve Hogben. With less track time than Chris, it's likely that James will improve further this year an prove that the 2009 season was a lucky escape for Chris. Back, fully fit and on Kawasaki's who knows what this season will provide!?

Steve 'HOGGY' Hogben #87 SUB 60BHP CHAMPIONSHIP BORN : July 15, 1985 Racer. As a youngster Steve raced Karts, most notably against a certian Lewis Hamilton. During the 2009 rookie campaign Steve met with an even harder opponent, Chris. Steve managed to beat Chris in just two races during 2009 and I'm sure that despite being in the 60BHP sub championship will be after more victories during 2010!

|
Josh Harley #57 SUB 60BHP CHAMPIONSHIP BORN : 9th May 1984 Racer. Having never even been on a track day, Josh took the brave step of racing in 2009 and progressed well throughout the season on his Honda VFR400. The season ended rather painfully when a small spill at the last round (Lydden) resulted in a broken Wrist for Josh. For 2010 Josh is back and will be competing in the Sub 60BHP championship hoping to give Steve and the rest of the Sub Championship runners a race!

Nicola Houghton-Camps Team Mnager. Arguably one of the most attractive member of the team, Nicola is in charge of funding. Being Chris' wife, if the funds are not there the project is scrapped (therefore one could argue this is the most important role of the team). Working as a legal secretary and also studying the law, she has informed the team that she retains the right to withdraw funding at any given time. Nicola hopes to attend most of the 2010 races, although the temperature has to be a minimum of 25 degrees before attendance is considered. Nicola and Chris are joined by their new son for 2010 Daniel, who will hopefully bring good luck during the season!

Oliver Tabram Pre-Season preparation specialist/technical advisor The most senior member of the team, Oli is in charge of cleaning James and Chris' bikes and ensuring that the bike is held together securely with tape in all the necessary places. He worked tirelessly on Chris's 2009 Championship winning bike and whilst not a 'race mechanic' proved himself with the bike having NO mechanical failures during the entire season! - Despite his obvious age disadvantage we are glad that Oli will be an integral part of the team once more! An engineer, Oli prides himself on detail and will often refuse to work on the bike if the links in the chain don't add up to an even number. His mechanical skills and attention to detail will no doubt help throughout the 2010 season. A keen motorcyclist himself, Oli currently rides a classic Morini 3 ½ and thus ensures he must wear a beard at all times.

Charlie Monk Chief Mechanic & Pit Manager Charlie emerged late on the scene in 2009 at Thruxton, Immediately embedding himself into the team through helping to rebuild Chris's bike after race 01's 'off' - making Tea, general help and consistant source of entertainment. Charlie will be an integral part of cmcracing in 2010 and the team will endevour to look after him with his favourite food 'Halibut' . . .

Michelle Williams Brolly Dolly & Fan base co-ordinator A keen motorcyclist herself, Michelle came to a lot of the 2009 races and enjoyed the atmosphere of the paddock and comfort of race HQ... Michelle runs cmcracing on Face Book and hopes that James Ellison will join the team very soon. (Apparently she has offered him a 'sports' massage but the court order now placed on here won't allow her to be closer than 100 metres. Join our FB group here! |

Jon Tester Team advisor/mechanical & technical support Often found trying to save his front wheel from excessive wear by only using the rear. Jon is widely regarded by those that know him, as the most natural rider on a bike. Experimentation as a child lead him to play around with the normal toys of an 8 year old . . . like rebuilding car engines and putting aviation fuel in a Puch Maxi 'for a laugh'... As mad as he is talented. He's helped convert the race HQ to carry bikes, helped with the bikes themselves and I'm sure he'll also be of great help throughout the season. If laptimes are not as well as expected it has been rumoured that Chris is going to lend Jon his leathers, helmet and bike then stick him in the race...... |
